New lampshade

Well this is a good lesson for Barney not to annoy bigger older dogs, or face a scarred face. After a very nice visit to David & Amanda's and the follwing visit to the vet Barney has to wear an IKEA lampshade until his scar heals to stop him scratching it. So the moral of the story is pick on someone your own size.

We have the power

Well after some time of having a wind turbine sat in the workshop, it's now hoisted into the air and spinning like a top, even though it's only a gentle breeze here in Bridgwater today. The next step is to connect the batteries and inverter and see how much power we actually create. We also have 2000 litres of water storage ready to collect rain water for use in the toilets and our underfloor heating system is poised to be connected to a solid fuel rayburn. So while we haven't started wearing hemp sandals here in the office, we're doing our little bit.

It's now saturday night and I now know what a lunar eclipse looks like by viewing Ivor's site. Barney started puppy school last Wednesday and loved it especially as 3 of his siblings were there too. Have had a wonderful day today walking the foothills of the Quantocks with Jon & Clea and my wife Rosie, who thinks I'm avoiding putting her photo on the blog, but the truth is I'm not in the habit of blogging yet so it may take a while. Off to be a God parent tomorrow for Robert Waldron, which should be great.

It's now Saturday evening March the 3rd and I've just come in from looking at the moon. There's a lunar eclispe today, it's a beautiful clear night and I can't see any diiference. Have I missed something?
